Long renowned as one of Australia’s most soulfully distinctive rock vocalists, Peno (Died Pretty) has overcome illness to deliver, in a highly intuitive song writing collaboration with The Superstitions’ co-founder, guitarist and composer Cam Butler, a thrilling and sophisticated set of new songs certain to find their way into the hearts of audiences new to the band’s grandly uplifting songcraft and ecstatic live performances, as well as dedicated Superstitions fans. In passion of performance, in romantic rush and in sheer musicianship, 'Do the Understanding' already bears the hallmarks of a new Australian classic, a timely record of difficulties met and addressed, and fresh hope glimpsed with clear eyes in unexpected places.

The band’s return to the stage will reveal Peno as one of Australia’s greatest and most charismatic performers, in case anyone should require reminding of something so well-known.
